To facilitate easy testing of the MassIVE-CA dataset access process, we have prepared a special demo dataset for you try out. We invite you to submit any questions or feedback you may have to massive@ucsd.edu.

Demo Dataset - caMSV000079841

This demo dataset is a copy of the landmark Chick et al. database search dataset, originally submitted to PRIDE (PXD001468) and mirrored at MassIVE (MSV000079841) (original paper here).

To find this dataset in MassIVE-CA, simply navigate to the controlled access web portal (https://massive-access.ucsd.edu/), log in, and either enter the dataset's controlled-access accession in the "Search Dataset Identifiers or Public Metadata" search box, or click "MassIVE Datasets" at the top of the page and find the dataset there.

Once the dataset's web page is loaded, you can review its metadata at your leisure just like in the public MassIVE repository. However, to access its files, you must submit an access request. To do this, simply click the "Request Access" button in the top left of the dataset page.

This brings you to the access request input form, but with the dataset's caMSV accession pre-populated. From here simply follow the dataset access instructions to try out downloading an encrypted version of this dataset!

NOTE:
Coming soon: Requesting access to this special demo dataset will be even easier, as all access requests will be granted automatically.

NOTE:
This repository and web portal are still a work in progress. If you encounter any difficulties, or simply have questions or comments you'd like to share, please feel free to contact us at massive@ucsd.edu.
